Blackberry Basil Smash Mocktail

Beat the Summer heat with this refreshing, fizzy mocktail made with fresh blackberries, savory basil, and bubbly club soda.

Like the rest, this mocktail is lower in sugar to keep you hydrated, without the yucky side effects of alcohol or sugary drinks.

Ingredients

  • handful blackberries

  • handful of basil

  • 0.5 oz lime juice

  • drizzle of honey

  • 4 oz kombucha, club soda, or sparkling water

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Muddle blackberries and basil together.

  2. Add lime juice, a drizzle of honey, and mix well.

  3. Fill a cup with ice, add the blackberry mixture, and top with something sparkling.

  4. Enjoy!


Optional Substitutions

To make this less sweet, opt for club soda or sparkling water in place of kombucha. You can also replace the honey with simple syrup or your sweetener of choice. Don’t have basil? Swap for mint.
